This blog was created for posting my pictures. I'm planning on taking at least one picture each day. This will motivate me to use my camera every day. I have a new daughter, who will make great material for this, but my pictures will include other subjects as well. I work in Tulsa, which has lots of interesting sites and is located on historic route 66. All of my pictures are links and you can click on them to see the larger version.

Day 300

Today, Alyssa was being a monkey after her shower and was climbing onto the bathroom countertop. Here she is, hanging onto the sink, with the cabinet door she stepped up on, swung open.

Day 297

This is a tank that sits in a park in Wagoner, OK. It gets decorated with Christmas lights each year, along with other Christmas decorations placed in this park. Shawn thinks it's funny (and I have to agree with her) that they decorate this with lights. Nothing says Christmas quite like a tank.

Day 296

This is a building that has a large picture window made of several pieces of etched glass that combine to make a big mural.

This is an old basketball I have at the house.

Day 294

This is something we bought at a tea house, while we were in China. You soak these in water, then to test the temperature of your water for making tea, you pour some over the doll. If your water is hot enough, the doll will go peepee.

Today, I snapped a picture of 2 Mallard ducks at a local park. The drake (or male) is the one with the green head.

Day 290

Today, I snapped a picture of the place I work, Laureate Psychiatric Clinic & Hospital. You can see our new building on the right side. The building I work in now, is directly to the left of the new building. And, the building on the left side, that you can barely see behind the trees, is the administration building.

Day 289

Today, they started closing in the steel frame of our new building. I've heard that there are some people going to move into the first floor, once the building has been closed in and it's safe to do so. I've included previous photos of our new building on day 256, day 225, and day 85. You can follow the progress of our new building on the webcam.

Day 288

Tonight, I snapped a picture of Alyssa with her new Beanie Baby. This was just before bedtime and she's giving it a kiss.

Day 287

Tonight, we happened by this house that has many of it's Christmas decorations up already. I know they're not done yet, because they were still outside working on it.

Day 285

Today, Alyssa went to a birthday party at the Kaleidoscope Children's Museum. They had a big play room, a rock wall, a stage, a grocery store, a beauty shop, and much more. Here's Alyssa getting all dressed up.

Day 283

Tonight, I snapped a picture of the moon. It was shining through the clouds, which gave it a hazy look and I shot it from behind a tree.

Day 282

Today, I snapped a few pictures in the Rose Garden at Woodward Park. Even though it's November, there were a lot of roses that still looked really good.

Day 281

Tonight, I was playing around with the macro lens. This is another one of those "guess what this is" pictures, like on day 175.

Day 280

Today, there was another ladybug in my office, and I decided to get a picture that was much better than the one I did on day 274. Today, I left it on my basil plant, that's growing in the window, and lowered the blinds behind it, rather than placing it on a white sheet of paper, in full sunlight. Then, I realized that this ladybug didn't have any black spots on it's back.

Tonight, we went to dinner. When we got back to the house, Alyssa was asleep. This is a picture of her, asleep in her car seat.

Day 278

These are some Mourning Doves, I found, in a field in Tulsa. It was windy and pretty cool, so they were laying low.

Day 277

Today, I snapped a statue in front of the Hideaway Pizza store. This is their mascot, that appears in their logo.

Day 276

Today, I snapped a picture of a persimmon tree. It seems that these trees lose all their leaves before most other trees, leaving them bare, except for all their fruit. They look really unique this time of year and really stand out against the blue skies.

Day 275

Today, I was trying to snap a picture of the fall colors, again. I was hoping to find several trees with lots of different colors in them. Instead I found this one tree with some really brilliant orange colors in it.

Day 274

Today, I had a ladybug in my office, so I grabbed the camera and snapped a few pics with the macro lens.

Day 273

I've been wanting to snap a picture of the changing Autumn leaves. It's starting to look like it's almost too late, since the leaves are starting to fall. This wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but it also includes the downtown Tulsa skyline in it.

Day 272

I'm amazed at how fast the price of gasoline has dropped. It's now below $2/Gallon, a price I thought we'd never see again. 20 days ago, I took a similar picture and the price has dropped another 75 cents since then.

Day 271

Tonight, I snapped this picture of Alyssa showing off a piece of Halloween candy in her hand. This was just before bedtime. (the perfect time to load her up with sugar)
