Day 178
Today I've snapped a picture of Alyssa getting comfortable in her chair. She has her legs thrown over the side and the orange on her face is from some Cheetos.

This is a naked lady that just bloomed in our front flower bed. This plant grows a number of leaves for a few weeks early in the spring, which die and eventually disappear. Then, later in the summer, a single stalk appears with pink flowers that emerge from the top.

Day 163
This is a new bridge that was recently completed along a walking/biking trail that I use sometimes when I'm riding my bike. Before it was completed, you had to either walk your bike across the creek, or turn around and go back. Now you can take the trail all the way from the NSU Broken Arrow campus to the other side of the Arkansas River in Jenks, OK.

Day 160
On our way home from Dallas, we passed this solar powered car. This car was from Oregon State University. It was part of some sort of race or something because we also passed another one from the University of Arizona.

Day 157
On our way to Dallas, we drove through McAlester so we could eat dinner at Pete's Place. When we spotted this billboard, that's been defaced, I immediately wanted to use it for my photo of the day. Gene Stipe is the most corrupt politician I know from around here. I really liked the modification someone made to this billboard. For more info about Gene Stipe, try this link.

Today, I'm posting a picture of a bloom from one of our blackberry lily plants. These plants bloom for several weeks during the summer and look great. We love them, especially since we learned they are originally from China.
