Today, I snapped some pictures of the remains of an old house that sits in the middle of a busy section of Tulsa, but it's so well hidden in the trees, that most people don't even know it's there.

The Tulsa Townies program allows people to check out a bicycle to ride at no cost. There are 4 kiosks located along the bicycle trail where a person can check out and return bicycles. Today's picture is of the kiosk located near 96th Street and Riverside Drive.

Day 114

Lately, Alyssa has been sitting on everything that happens to be the right height for her. (i.e. the suitcase, a shoebox, gravestones at the cemetary on Memorial Day, etc.) So, we decided she needed a chair, that was her size to sit in. Here she is enjoying her new chair.

Today's picture is of a stamp commemerating Chinese New Year. I kept the stamp, rather than using it, because I thought it looked cool. Now that postage has increased, I'll probably never use it, since I hate keeping a bunch of 1 or 2 cent stamps around.

Today's picture was snapped at a park we stopped at, in Sapulpa. It was very hot and humid today, and we did a lot of driving. We stopped at the park to let Alyssa stretch her legs a little and give the dogs a break. Alyssa spotted the playground, and played for quite a while. I think she had about as much fun playing in the rocks, as she did on all the playground equipment.

Today's picture was taken at the Edmond Jazz and Blues Festival. This is the Chris Hicks Band, who closed out the festival on Sunday night.

Today we went to Edmond, to visit my parents, and to go to the Edmond Jazz and Blues Festival. This picture is Alyssa wearing Shawn's sunglasses, and showing us her newest skill. (grinning)

Today, I snapped a picture of the Gerber Daisies growing in our front flower bed.

Today, Alyssa and I went to feed the ducks and geese, while we were waiting for Shawn, who was at the local FCC's Mom's Night Out dinner. We even had a bunch of baby geese that we were feeding. Here's a picture of Alyssa chasing the geese a bit.

My picture for today, is of the still under construction, BOK Center. It's scheduled to be completed in September and already looks awesome. They already have some big names scheduled like Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, Neil Diamond, and Celine Dion, as well as an NBA basketball game. Tulsa has been in need of a large venue like this to bring more events to town. This was funded by a 13 year, one cent sales tax increase dubbed "Vision 2025". Today, I was playing around with the macro lens and an old modem I had around the house. This is a closeup of the printed circuit board of the modem.

Today's picture is of a wildflower that I've seen a lot of this year. This was snapped growing along side of the road.

Today's picture is of a hand sculpture we had made from Alyssa's hand. We had the mold created while we were at Mayfest yesterday. Today we went back to pick up the finished scuplture.

Today we went to Mayfest in downtown Tulsa. My picture for today came from a mural that was painted on one of the buildings for Mayfest.

Tonight was the commencement ceremony for Wagoner High School and our niece Erica received her diploma. Here's a picture of Erica, just after receiving her diploma.

Tonight, Shawn went to find her some sandles. When she got home, it turns out that she got new sandles for Alyssa as well.

Day 100

Today, I bought a new pair of shoes. Alyssa wanted the box for herself to play with. She found that it made a good step stool, and made it easier to swipe stuff from our table.

Day 99

Alyssa's aunt bought her a pair of pink cowboy boots that she found and just couldn't pass up. Right now, they fit her feet, but they won't fit for much longer. Alyssa really likes putting these boots on and she also loves to stomp her feet with them.

Tonight, I noticed this project being built in my neighbor's garage. I was afraid to ask what this was for. But, if anyone turns up missing, this might be handy as evidence.

Today, we went to a graduation party for our niece, Erica. We're all really proud of her.

We went to Edmond for the weekend and stayed at my parent's house. Tonight, both my brothers and their families came over and we grilled shish-ka-bobs for dinner. This is my Brother and dad slaving over the grill.

Today, I hunted a geocache during my lunch hour. I spotted a lot of deer tracks while I was doing this, and I snapped a picture of one. Usually it's hard to get good pictures of these, but this picture turned out pretty good.

Shawn bought some things for Alyssa on eBay and they arrived in the mail today. The stuff included this tutu and tiara and Alyssa began to dance around when we put them on her.

Today, I snapped a picture of Alyssa, just before bedtime.

I took some pictures of Alyssa today. But, after putting her to bed, I realized the memory card was NOT in the camera. So, today's picture is me playing with the macro lens, an old music CD, and a light source.

I picked up the dogs from the kennel after work today, following our trip to Wichita. We had them groomed while they were there. This is a picture of Missy with her new short haircut.

Today's picture was taken at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, KS. This is a bald eagle that happened to be very close to us.

Today, we went to a Cinco de Mayo festival in downtown Wichita. There was a parade going on when we arrived, and I snapped this photo. As they went down the street, the cops would throw a bucket of water on the jailbirds. Then they'd chase one to the side of the street, and just when everyone thinks they're going to get wet, they get a bucket of confetti instead.

Day 88

Today's picture is of the Prayer Tower, which is located on the campus of Oral Roberts University. We're leaving for a weekend trip to Wichita tonight. So, I needed to take my picture at lunch and post it early, since we'll be arriving in Wichita pretty late.

Day 87

For dinner tonight I fixed a chicken recipe that called for dry white wine. I'm not a fan of any wine that is dry, so I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine while I was shopping for the other wine. Besides, this will give me something to drink while I post my picture for the day.
