Day 86

These are some baby geese. I snapped this picture during my walk today at lunch.

Day 85

Today, at work, we were given a tour of our new building that's currently under construction. We were supposed to move into it on April 1st of this year, but now their planning on adding 3 more floors to the building and it will probably add another year to it. I took some pictures and this one is of the lobby area.

Today, Alyssa fell down and scraped up her face a little bit. I could barely get her to sit still enough to get a good picture. But, that's probably how she got this way to begin with.

Today I did some geocaching around Tahlequah, OK. I snapped this picture of a building in town that is painted due to Tahlequah, at one time, being the "home office" of the Late Night show with David Letterman.

Today's picture is of crimson clover, that I snapped along the roadside between Wagoner and Broken Arrow.

Day 78

Today I snapped a picture of Alyssa in the new bicycle trailer, we got so we can take her when we ride our bikes. I put the trailer together when I got home from work and Alyssa went on her first bike ride tonight. She really enjoyed the bike ride and did lots of talking to us during the ride. She doesn't look real happy in the picture and when we got her inside, realized that she's getting a fever and not feeling very good. She was just at the doctor's office today and was fine. We hope she didn't pick up something while she was there.

Today's picture is the Renaissance Hotel, located near 71st Street and Highway 169. This is probably the nicest hotel in the Tulsa area.

Tonight's picture is the sun setting on South Tulsa. This was shot near 61st St. and Memorial.

Today's picture is Alyssa playing on a jungle gym. In this picture she's at the far end of a big blue tube.

Day 74

Today's picture was snapped during a bike ride after work. This is a broken egg I found on the top of a levy around some retention ponds that attract a lot of ducks, geese, and cranes. I'm not sure what kind of egg it is, but it looked like it had been broken for quite some time.

Day 73

Today's picture is of an antique camera that belonged to my grandfather. It has a leather carrying case and three unused flash bulbs and the original box. The camera also has his name engraved on the camera body.

Day 72

Tonight we went to the store. We bought a package of raisins for Alyssa, since she's been having them during the day at Shawn's mom's house, and loves them. Alyssa grabbed on to that bag of raisins with both hands, and wouldn't let go. She held them in the car seat all the way home, too. Tonight's picture is her sitting in my chair, with the bag of raisins. I added a picture of her enjoying them in the inset picture in the corner.

Day 71

Today, the Arkansas River was a deep redish brown color from all the recent rains we've had and all the water spilling from the Lake Keystone Dam. The strong South wind was making white caps on the water. This picture was taken looking North, up the river towards downtown. The bridge at the top of the picture is the I-44 bridge and the downtown skyline can be seen in the upper-right corner.

Today's picture is of an old grain elevator in downtown Broken Arrow, next to the railroad tracks.

Today's picture was taken in the hot tub of me and Alyssa. I had to set up the tripod and the remote shutter release to be able to snap this one myself.

Today's picture is of one of the new one dollar coins. This one has Thomas Jefferson's face on it. These coins even have engraving on the side of the coin. I overlayed an image of the side of the coin, so you can see it.

Today's picture is of the sun going down over Broken Arrow.

Today I went to the park to walk and snap a few pictures. While I was taking a few pictures, a squirrel snuck up behind me and I was able to snap a few pics of it at a really close range. This was my best pic of the squirrel, but there was a cigarette butt on the rock next to his tail. So, I had to edit the image a little to remove it.

Day 65

Today's picture is Alyssa going up the stairs for her bath. She's always stopping to look back, and to make sure we're still behind her, and to be proud of herself. As you can see, she's gotten to be pretty sure of herself on the stairs.

Day 64

Here's a picture of Alyssa just before bedtime. She loves to talk on the phone (or pretend to). Here she is doing her thing. You'll also notice that Shawn has painted her toe nails.

Today's picture is a cardinal that I snapped on the peak of a roof in the neighborhood. I was hoping to get some pictures of the lightning tonight, but it didn't work out. So, I did a little something with photoshop to make this bird stand out a little.

Day 62

Today Shawn went and got a pedicure and Daddy got to keep Alyssa while she was gone. Today's picture is of her painted toe nails, including the big toe that has a flower painted on it.

Day 61

Today, we went to Wagoner to see Shawn's niece off to her prom. We stopped to snap this picture along the highway, where some beavers live. In this picture you can see a beaver dam on the left and some trees they cut down on the right side.

Today's picture was taken at the Riverwalk in Jenks. This is a building that was designed to look like a boat.

Today I was playing with a top that had lights in it, using a slow shutter speed, taken in a dark room.

Day 58

I've been trying to lose some weight and ofter walk during my lunch hour. Today I was walking around the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place and snapped a few pictures of some of the flowers in the area. Today's pic is of some red and yellow tulips springing up from a bed of pansies.
